Store credit
An actual currency balance. Unlike points, store credit is money.
Where it comes from
- Top-ups: the customer pays in advance and draws it down later
- Action-based grants: awarded for a specific behavior (writing a review, referring a friend, a birthday)
- Manual adjustment: service recovery
Every movement in or out is recorded and auditable.
Question: Can store credit be refunded as cash?
The system doesn't support paying it out directly. By design it's an in-store balance, which is the usual industry approach — but say so clearly in your customer terms.
